Puthiya Thalaimurai TV (Tamil: புதிய தலைமுறை டிவி) is a Tamil news channel headquartered at Chennai, Tamil Nadu. It owned by Chennai-based The New Generation Media Corporation.

Tamil Nadu's first independent news channel, launched on 24, August 2011. The channel has created history by becoming that top news channel in the state within
record 60-days of its inception. The back-to-back news channel with an aggressive punch line "unmai udanuk udan" (Truth as it happens). The channel also telecasts various discussion, documentary and infotainment programs.

As per TAM (Television Audience Measurement) ratings released by AC Neilson Puthiya Thalaimurai has scored a Gross Rating Point or GRP of 35.94 on Week 44 across Tamil Nadu, across news genre in CS 4+ years or viewers 4 plus years watching television in cable and satellite homes. Besides topping the universe, the channel has also topped its target audience of all adult viewers with an age of 25 plus across all socio-economic categories. This channel belongs to SRM university group, Chennai. The channel is critical and unbiased on various issues concerning common man. The channel's reporting about KKNPP, Srilankan Tamil issue, Kachatheevu issue, elections in Tamil Nadu are well received by the adult audience in Tamil Nadu and these are said to be the main reason behind the channel's high viewership ratings.
